I was born and raised in Armthorpe and attended Armthorpe Comprehensive School.
Following an apprenticeship at Doncaster Plant Works, I took a leap of faith and started my own electrical business in 1994.
After tying the knot with my wife, Gail, in 1995, we had two children.
Throughout the years, we moved to various places, including Wheatley, back to Armthorpe, and eventually settling in Bawtry in 2002.
In a significant milestone, I made history as Don Valley’s first Conservative Member of Parliament and the first Conservative MP in Doncaster in six decades.
Aside from my professional endeavours, I am an avid runner completing both the London Marathon and the Great North Run raising funds for cancer charities. I also have a strong commitment to working with local prisons to help prevent reoffending and support individuals seeking a fresh start.
My journey into politics was driven by need to serve and help the people of Doncaster and to make a difference in the lives of young individuals across our great nation.
As a Christian, my core values revolve around faith, love for my country, and the importance of family. Faith, Flag, and Family are the guiding principles that shape my approach to life and leadership, driving me to work tirelessly for the betterment of our community and the future of the United Kingdom.
