On 19th November 2020, I spoke of the need for the Government to waste no time in introducing an age verification mechanism for adult websites. With the Online Harms Bill potentially being years away until it comes into effect, it is important for us to act now in order to protect children online. As ever, I will be following developments on this issue closely to ensure that our young people are not exposed to indecent imagery which under law they should not be viewing.
